More and more, journalists are expected to handle a variety of different multimedia tools, ranging from online, to video and pictures. It’s nothing new, but how much of an expertise does one need in the tools, like Javascript, Flash and HTML?

Sergio Acosta wonders that very same thing after finding a job post for the New York Times. The ad asked for a “technology-savvy” producer to work with reporters, editors, software producers and more to create multimedia projects.
