Disney Interactive brings Lost Light to iOS, Android

Disney Interactive has today announced the launch of Lost Light on iOS and Android devices. The puzzle adventure game challenges players to combine blocks of light to create combos, and mixes a puzzle experience with a numbers game. The more blocks players clear in each stage, the more light fills the forest, with over 75 levels available in the experience.

In each level of Lost Light, players are asked to tap and drag on numbered tiles to combine them and increase their number. For instance, combining three “1” tiles turns them into a single “3” tile. Each level has a different requirement for clearing blocks from the board, and the numbers on each tile determine how they’re actually removed. That is, “5” tiles are only matched if there are five “5” tiles touching each other, while “3” tiles will be removed when three “3” tiles are touching.

Some stages require users to make matches in a particular order, while others ask players to collect a large number of a certain kind of tile (collect 20 “2” tiles, for instance). Even more levels ask players to earn a certain number of points in a limited number of time, with each level offering a timer and score system as players clear blocks.

Stages end when time runs out, or when tiles are allowed to reach the top of the screen. New tiles are added slowly to the bottom, and players can fast-forward the level’s progress if they’re ahead of the game.

Lost Light is available to download for $1.99 on iOS, Google Play and the Amazon App Store. The game will be released soon on the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store. Check back soon to follow Lost Light on AppData, our tracking platform for mobile and social apps and developers.
