Discover Magazine Bought By Kalmbach Media

Discover magazine, which had been up for sale since May, has found a new owner in Kalmbach Media. It seems to be a good fit given that, as Folio: points out, Kalmbach specializes in “crafts, models and astronomy markets.” It currently owns 16 special-interest titles, including Astronomy, Trains and Birder’s World.

The magazine’s editorial headquarters will remain in New York and Discover Media CEO Henry Donahue will remain with the magazine until year’s end.
