Did you know that the “Apple TV” is part of the iPod family? I know it’s true because Apple says so. Just take a look at the family photo above from the Apple Store’s Shop iPod section.
Earlier, many people (including me) believed the rumors that Apple planned to announce the 4th generation iPod touch as well as an iOS based Apple TV on September 7.

However, yesterday Apple sent out official invitations for a September 1 event (next week Wednesday).
