Developers Get Their Crack at Twitter’s Hide Replies Feature

It was rolled out to users worldwide last November

Twitter opened up the hide replies feature that it made available to users worldwide last November to developers.

The social network began testing the option for users last February, officially revealing last July that the test was extended to Canada and likewise last September regarding the U.S. and Japan.

Twitter said at the time, “This way, you have more control over the conversations you start, but people can still see the entire conversation.”

The social network said in a series of tweets from its @TwitterDev account Wednesday, “Introducing a new Labs endpoint so that developers can help people hide replies they find irrelevant, off-topic or toxic.
