Facebook Is Promoting Circle Time for Developers

The social network introduced Developer Circles From Facebook at F8

Facebook is encouraging collaboration by its developer community with its launch of Developer Circles From Facebook at its F8 developers conference in San Jose, Calif., Tuesday.

The program is open to developers worldwide and free to join, and each Developer Circle is led by members of the local community and has its own dedicated Facebook group.

The social network also announced that it teamed up with online training platform Udacity on custom Facebook training programs, which will be available via Developer Circles’ Facebook groups or the Udacity site.

Vice president of product partnerships Ime Archibong provided more details on Developer Circles in a blog post:

Developer Circles is a community-driven program that’s free to join and open to any developer.
