Detroit Papers: More Job Cuts To Come

The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press both cut back home delivery to three days a week two months ago, but it wasn’t enough: Detroit Media Partnership, which oversees the business side of both papers, said both newspapers are scaling back further.

As many as 150 jobs could be cut, the Free Press reports; the AP says that 25 of those cuts will come from the Free Press.

The company said the layoffs were not due to the reduced home delivery schedule and were instead a result of the weak ad market.
