Design Gets a Seat At the Table...the Dinner Table

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s T+L Design Awards, another too-hip-to-use-the-word-‘and’ publication, Food & Wine, has devoted an entire issue to design. Inside you’ll find an “extreme” dinner party at the construction site of the Boston Institute of Contemporary Art, attended by the architects Ric Scofidio and Charles Renfro and that lovely being, John Malkovich. They also survey gourmet innovation at Santa Monica kitchen supply store Le Sanctuaire, and feature a cool conversion of a Long Island kitchen.

Not too much of a stretch, actually, since design is rather important to our OXO cheese graters, Eva Zeisel salt shakers, Sub Zeros, and Marc Newson-pimped restaurants.
