Death Of Phone Calls: What Does It Mean To Mobile Phones?

I remember that when I turned 15 one of my birthday presents was a phone extension in my bedroom. My parents made a really big deal out of the fact that I was being given the phone because I was growing up, and I definitely appreciated the freedom of talking with my friends in the privacy of my own bedroom. Of course, my 15th birthday was long before the existence of mobile phones, and no doubt most teenagers today want a mobile phone rather than their own extension on a home phone.
