Dean Takes on Sexist Media
On yesterday’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean took the mainstream media to task for some sexist news coverage of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambitions.
In response to a question from Stephanopoulos about a recent op-ed by Geraldine Ferraro on the topic of sexism and race in the 2008 campaign, Dean said:
There has been an enormous amount of sexism in this campaign on the part of the media, including the mainstream media.
