Lawyer For Self-Proclaimed Facebook Half-Owner Paul Ceglia Can't Quit Case
It appears that Paul Ceglia, who claims to be the half-owner of Facebook, finally has an attorney. After several attorneys have taken up the case only to quickly withdraw, a U.S. District Court judge rejected Dean Boland's filing to walk away.
It appears that Paul Ceglia, who claims to be the half-owner of Facebook, finally has an attorney. After several attorneys have taken up the case only to quickly withdraw, a U.S. District Court judge rejected Dean Boland’s filing to walk away.
Boland (pictured) — Ceglia’s eighth attorney — applied to withdraw from the case in October, but the judge Thursday denied his claim. During a court hearing, Boland said that he was receiving death threats and feared for his safety.
The judge ruled that Boland’s reasons for leaving the case were insufficient and that his departure could draw the case on even longer.
