Dead Teen Had Posted About Stalker On Facebook

Three days after she posted on Facebook about having a stalker, U.K. police found 17-year-old Emily Langley dead.

Police found 17-year-old Emily Longley dead several days after she posted the status update: “I have a stalker!!!”

She’d written that on Facebook last Wednesday, and U.K. authorities found her body on Saturday in Bournemouth, Dorset, on Saturday morning, according to the Guardian.

After her initial posting about having a stalker, she elaborated:

Someone just called me and I was like “Who’s this?” And they were like “You don’t know me but I know everything about you” and I was like “How did you get my number?” and he was like “I’ll tell you when I see you” and kept asking me out. So I hung up and they won’t stop calling. I’m really scared! Ha. It’s a private number as well. Some people need to get a life!

The next day, on Thursday, she posted on Facebook that she was “down and out.” That was her last post on Facebook, and two days later, police found her at a home not far from the school she attended, Brockenhurst College.

Officials are still investigating the exact cause of death, and so far have arrested two local suspects.

Her friends have set up a memorial page on Facebook called RIP Emily Langley, which had 9,172 likes as of this writing. She was originally from Auckland, New Zealand and aspired to be a model.

Readers, do you think her posts on Facebook — or even her profile — might help police solve her murder?
