Dailymotion, Livestation Team Up to Offer International News Networks

Hoping to bring news from politically conflicted Egypt to those who have lacked it, London-based news portal Livestation teamed up with Paris-based video site Dailymotion to offer streams from networks including Al-Jazeera,. Bloomberg, the BBC, and France 24, as well as content from organizations including the United Nations and NASA, Beet.TV reported, saying Dailymotion vice president for international Luc Dumont confirmed the integration via Twitter.

However, the content is restricted based on countries where it is available in some cases, such as BBC World News, which is not offered to users in the United States.

France Telecom announced that it would acquire 49 percent of Dailymotion last week, according to Beet.TV.
