daily mailThe Wall Street Journal’s Lukas I. Alpert got the jump on some intriguing news out of the Cannes Lions advertising festival today: the Daily Mail is getting into the syndicated TV series business, and with none other than Dr. Phil McGraw.

From the report:

The 50-50 deal between the Mail and Stage 29 Productions — the company behind McGraw’s Emmy-winning talk show, Dr. Phil — will aim to create a syndicated television series ready to hit the airwaves in the fall of 2016.
