Guardian News and Media might cut up to 24 staffers from its Guardian US operations.
According to the New York Post, Guardian News and Guardian US’ union are currently negotiating the number of layoffs.
“We were deeply disappointed to learn of the company’s [proposed cuts], considering the optimistic financial projections made to us within the last year,” said a News Guild Media spokesperson. “However, management has committed to working with [us] to decide how cuts will be made.”
