Crowdfunded Sports Site 'The Classical' Meets Fundraising Goal
The Classical, which was when we last covered it a hypothetical new sports site that its founders were trying to get off the ground via Kickstarter, reached its fundraising goal yesterday with 10 days left to go in the campaign.
Sportswriters Tom Scharpling, Eric Nusbaum, David Roth, Lang Whitaker, Pete Beatty, Bethlehem Shoals, and more were asking for $50,000 in order to start the site and keep it running for a year. They reached that goal and currently stand at $51,149, with 979 backers.
