Crispin Porter + Bogusky Ranks High in AdWeek’s ‘Overrated’ List

We’re like the rest of you who love silly online voting fights. So it stands to reason that we’ve been enjoying watching the numbers rise and fall over at AdWeek‘s “Which Shop is the Most Overrated,” as well as AdFreak’s brief coverage of it and the comments that ensued. The voters pick thus far, with a huge majority, is Crispin Porter + Bogusky, they the creators of the infamously weird Burger King campaign of these last few years, along with many others. Personally, we think the agency is okay, and if we all know their work, they’ve probably gotta be doing something right (in the drumming up new business department at least), but the real fun is just reading people getting all worked up, either pro or con about them. Unfortunately for them though, we guess they weren’t rated high enough to secure either AdWeek’s U.S. Agency of the Year or Global Agency of the Year, which went to Goodby and Wieden, respectively.
