Cricket Launches Music Downloads
Cricket Communications is the latest to sign on with LiveWire Mobile to offer a mobile music download service. Now, customers of the unlimited wireless services provider can download a song over-the-air to their phone ($1.99 each or three for $5), download to a PC and sideload to a phone (99 cents each), or get two copies of a song, one for the PC and one for the phone ($2.25).
To launch the new service, which strikes us as too expensive and too late to the party, Cricket hooked up with hip-hop artist and producer Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em to promote his new tune Kiss Me Thru the Phone.
