<em>CQ-Roll Call</em> Completes Integration Initiatives

This morning, CQ-Roll Call Managing Director Laurie Battaglia emailed staff to announce the completion of four projects designed to further integrate CQ & Roll Call. Yesterday, we told you about the relaunch of CQPolitics.com but Battaglia's memo highlighted a few of the additional initiatives: CQ StateTrack's regulatory monitoring service: a new service to enable subscribers to keep current on proposed and adopted state regulations using the same interactive map-based display, search engine and alerting functionality from CQ StateTrackÂ’s legislative service. CQ Energy & Climate: a new service on CQ.com that incorporates elements of the Environment & Energy Briefing Room with related content from nearly 20 CQ.com services. Content migration: they migrated many of the features and content from the Briefing Rooms and CongressNow onto the CQ.com platform. Battaglia says, "as a result, CQ.com and our specialty products, including Budget Tracker, HealthBeat and Homeland Security, have been enhanced and are better than ever." Dear All I am pleased to announce the completion of four major projects, all of which support our mission to further integrate and leverage the various assets of CQ-Roll Call Group. Many of you have been working tirelessly on these initiatives since we joined forces, and I am thrilled with your accomplishments. First, as of yesterday, we successfully migrated many of the features and content from the Briefing Rooms and CongressNow onto the CQ.com platform. As a result, CQ.com and our specialty products, including Budget Tracker, HealthBeat and Homeland Security, have been enhanced and are better than ever. In addition, more than 4,500 e-mail alerts and saved searches used by Briefing Room and CongressNow clients have been migrated over to CQ.com and are now fully functioning. As a result, we have already renewed $1.6 mm in GalleryWatch subscriptions, well above our projections Second, yesterday we launched CQ Energy & Climate, which is a new service on CQ.com that incorporates many of the best elements of the Environment & Energy Briefing Room with related content from nearly 20 CQ.com services. As a result, CQ Energy & Climate provides one single source for legislative tracking, in-depth news and analysis, schedules information, CRS reports and other government documents related to environmental, energy and climate change legislation. Third, last week we introduced CQ StateTrack's regulatory monitoring service. This new service enables our subscribers to keep current on proposed and adopted state regulations using the same interactive map-based display, search engine and alerting functionality they have come to rely on from CQ StateTrack's legislative service. Regulations monitoring is essential for many of our clients, and this service strengthens our ability to expand within the state market. Last, this morning we launched a significant upgrade to the CQ Politics site, which better focuses our content and provides a more streamlined interface. We introduced The Eye blog, an indispensable tool for anyone running or following the 2010 campaigns, and expanded our content, with more regular features from nationally recognized experts including Stu Rothenberg and Morton M. Kondracke, both of whom write for Roll Call. These initiatives would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication and collaboration of so many of you across multiple departments, including Information Technology, Editorial, Product Development, Finance and Information Services.
