Welcome back to another edition of FishbowlNY’s weekly Cover Battle. This round features The New York Times Magazine taking on V.

For its Innovations issue, the Times Mag went with a crumpled piece of paper with “In praise of Failure” written on it. It appears failing is a good tactic. High school would’ve been a lot easier if our teachers had known that.

V magazine, meanwhile, features Nicki Minaj in a valiant attempt to make the beret cool.
