Cosmo Bringing Comedy to NBC
Cosmopolitan and its editor, Joanna Coles, are bringing a single-camera comedy to NBC. According to Deadline, Coles will serve as an executive producer, along with Leslye Headland (who is also writing and directing), Ruben Fleischer and David Bernad.
The show center on a down-on-her-luck political blogger who restarts her life as a sex editor for a progressive women’s magazine. That’s where Cosmo comes in.
“Cosmo was a must read for me growing up,” Headland told Deadline. “Under Joanna’s influence, the magazine embodies topics for every modern female, which makes this a perfect union.”
