Consumers Spent 129.4 B Minutes Using Apps In 2012: Nielsen

Consumers spent 129.4 billion minutes using mobile apps, up 120 percent from 2011 when mobile phone users spent 58.8 billion minutes engaging with mobile apps. This is according to a new report from Nielsen called The Social Media Report 2012.

The report also found that the overall unique audience for mobile phone apps in the U.S. was up 85 percent in 2012 over 2011,  and traffic to the mobile Web was up 82 percent this year.
