Congressman Watches Tongue on National TV
An emotional Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.) spoke to CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield by phone this morning about the mass killings in a movie theater in his Aurora, Colo. district last night.
Fredricka wondered about his conversations with authorities. The congressman tried to weigh his words carefully. “I been on the phone with the chief of police and the United States Attorney there as well as some city council members and it’s a scene where I think the Aurora Police responded quickly and apprehended this crazy character,” Perlmutter told her through a shaky voice.
