Facebook officially confirmed that it will roll out the addition of emoticons and actions in status updates, which many users already have access to, saying that U.S. users will get the new feature “in the coming weeks.”

When users access their status update boxes, they can choose between expressing how they are feeling with emoticons, or sharing what they are watching, reading, listening to, eating, or drinking.

The social network said in a post on its Newsroom:

For example, if you share that you’re watching a movie like Jurassic Park, your post will contain the movie icon and a link to the movie’s page.

Jurassic Park will be added to the movies section on your timeline.
