Idea Flight was developed by Condé Nast to enable sharing of the Apple tablet’s detailed charts and graphs while eliminating the need for cables and other connections, but one connection its developers found worthy of including was the ability to connect with the professional networking site.

Condé Nast senior director of marketing and product development Juliana Stock went into more detail in a guest post on the LinkedIn Blog:

The missing piece was the ability to control the experience and build your professional network. With Idea Flight, meeting attendees can connect on LinkedIn directly in a meeting without ever leaving the presentation.

LinkedIn offers an integrated way to network in-person so never again will you need to worry about not having enough business cards or forgetting the names of meeting attendees. Ascribing to the old adage, “Find a need, fill a need,” Idea Flight was born. Idea Flight really is about changing the dynamics of everyday meetings and allowing frictionless networking. Our partnership with LinkedIn enables Idea Flight to take meetings to the next dimension.
