Committee tweeting is where more than one individual is involved in the decision process that makes up a single tweet.

Usually, this means heavy-handed involvement from the dreaded M-word – management.

How is this going to look, they’ll ask.

Wouldn’t it be better if we wrote it like this, they’ll say.

What will people think?

It’s all about dotting the Is, crossing the Ts, and completely missing the point.

It’s absolutely fine to co-manage a business account on Twitter – for larger companies and brands, it’s essential – but if you’re having meetings and long, drawn-out discussions and debates about a lot of the tweets that become part of your timeline, you’re going to sink.
