Cohn & Wolfe Appoints Managing Directors of Content, Entertainment Marketing

You're (both) hired!

As PR shops continue their quest to provide an integrated experience, agencies of all sizes are looking internally to enhance their offerings and expand their services.

Cohn & Wolfe, currently number 13 on The Holmes Report Top 250, understands its place in digital PR, as well as the ever-growing needs for clients to attach themselves to a big name in the entertainment industry.

That’s why we have word Cohn & Wolfe has decided to create two significant posts to help direct its efforts in both arenas.

According to a release, Cohn & Wolfe have hired Scott Cocchiere as managing director of creative and content and appointed Callie Jernigan as U.S. entertainment marketing leader to “further deepen the agency’s expertise in these specialties as part of its fully integrated marketing offering.”

Scott Cocchiere 2Cocchiere, an apparent fan of ‘The Boss’ as seen on his Twitter feed (so dude can’t be that bad), will be based in New York and will be responsible for “overseeing and expanding the content strategy” in all media for all Cohn & Wolfe clients.

Prior to joining Cohn & Wolfe, Cocchiere held creative and content leadership roles at a number of marketing agencies, including OgilvyAction (now Geometry Global) and Marketing Drive (now Match Marketing Group).

Jernigan 2Jernigan, who apparently isn’t the biggest Twitter fan but that’s OK, will be based in Austin as she “manages a core entertainment team in Los Angeles.”

She has some skills in the entertainment field as seen with her previous port-of-call: Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, where she led the North American PR department in her role as vice president, publicity. Jernigan has also worked for Paramount Home Entertainment and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, so there are those feathers in her Hollywood cap.

Jim Joseph, chief integrated marketing officer and President, The Americas, had this to say about the two appointments:

“As clients see the impact of our integrated offering, we are committed to staying on the leading edge of content development and entertainment marketing. Having the right leadership is critical to our success, which is why I am thrilled to have Scott and Callie each bring their unique talents to our team,” says Joseph.

Kudos to both PRs!
