Invests in Fortune’s Profile

Online traffic giant finally giving money brand its due with redesign

Since merging into CNNMoney in 2005, has had an awkward relationship with the site. Its content can be hard to find and tricky to distinguish from that of the other brands.

Now Fortune is finally getting its due. As part of a redesign of out May 9, the Fortune and Money logos will be prominently displayed on the home page. Fortune’s content, like its Term Sheet deals blog, also will be more clearly identified.

(The site is also taking a cue from mobile reading devices: A “tablet view” feature rearranges the site with a flipboard-like presentation. )

“We’ve always been a separate part of [CNNMoney],” says Dan Roth, managing editor of Fortune Digital. “I think people were confused about what the site was.”
