CNNMoney to Expand Globally

CNN bets big on the brand.

CNNMoney has its eyes on the globe. In an announcement, CNNMoney international editor Mark Thompson explained that the site—which already has about 150 staffers across the world—will expand in London, Dubai, New Delhi and Hong Kong.

As part of this move, any money-related reporting will feature CNNMoney branding. Also, Richard Quest is now CNNMoney’s editor at large. His show, Quest Means Business, will be the basis of a video series on CNNMoney and the title of a new newsletter.

“We now offer an even more compelling product to globally minded consumers hungry for a smart, accessible business and financial news experience — everywhere in the world,” Mike McCarthy, general manager of CNN international, told The Guardian.
