Happy 4th! Here’s a firecracker of a gig at one of the largest news organizations in the world. CNN.com is searching for a new U.S. editor to lead the daily effort on maintaining its dynamic and engaging national news section. This gig is not for the weak or feeble-minded.
As the U.S. editor, you’ll be responsible for creating and executing your page’s strategy, while breaking news and creating compelling stories in a variety of forms, including an article, blog post, video or interactive graphic. You’ll be guiding writers and producers, as well as collaborating with other sections of the site, so you must have a team player mentality.
We’re talking about CNN, here. You know exactly what it takes to get the job — a resume with years of major news experience (preferably 7 or more), tons of supervisory experience (5 years will do) and a bachelor degree. You’ll also need to have exceptional news judgment, journalistic skill and the ability to handle tight deadlines. If you’ve got the goods, apply here.
