CIGNA hires first CCO
Health insurance company CIGNA Corporation has named Maggie FitzPatrick chief communications officer, a new senior position at the company reporting to CEO David Cordani. FitzPatrick will oversee global communications for the firm. Hill & Knowlton’s Gene Reineke has filled the position on an interim basis (sub req’d) since January.
Previously, FitzPatrick was an EVP at APCO Worldwide. She starts on September 20. Currently, APCO has no plans for a direct replacement.
