Chicago Anchor Marion Brooks Adds To Her Responsibilities
Marion Brooks is expected to be named solo anchor of a new noon newscast to run on WMAQ-Channel 5, the NBC-owned station in Chicago.
Brooks has been with the station for 13 years and currently works as the 4:30p.m. newscast and host of The Talk. She also reports for the 10p.m. newscast.
Robert Feder at Time Out Chicago says that it was exactly 20 years ago this week that NBC 5 killed its noon broadcast. Now it’s likely to make a comeback, though execs have been careful not to confirm any plans.
