ChessComLogo.jpgIt was a meeting of the minds: Chesspark, a social network for chess aficionados, became part of similarly targeted site Chess.com, according to TechCrunch.

ChessparkLogo.jpgThe transition will be seamless, TechCrunch reported, as Chesspark members can log onto Chess.com with their credentials, and their user names, avatars and ratings will automatically be transferred.

There was no word on whether the combined site would seek to acquire 1980s shopping-mall clothing-store stalwart Chess King.
