Nextdoor head of U.S. sales Chad Tully traveled back to Twitter Monday to assume his new role as industry director, travel for the social network.
Tully joined Twitter as an account executive in August 2010, moving through the ranks and eventually becoming industry director of its financial services team before leaving the social network in May 2017 to join the neighborhood-level social application.
Prior to Twitter, he also worked with Google’s YouTube video site and Aerotek.
In his new role at Twitter, Tully will oversee the social network’s travel vertical in the U.S., driving partnerships and revenue growth, and he and his team will be focused on renewing and growing existing customer revenues.
Twitter cited research from eMarketer, which found that digital ad spend by the travel industry is expected to top $10 billion this year, up 21% from 2018.
Tully will report to managing director of U.S. sales Chris Riedy, who said in an email, “This year, the travel industry’s investment in digital ads is expected to outpace overall digital ad spending. With so much opportunity ahead of us, I’m excited to welcome Chad back to Twitter to lead our travel vertical, and I can’t wait to see him lead the team and help us continue delivering value to new and existing clients in the sector.”
Tully added, “I’m thrilled to return to Twitter to lead the travel team and eager to help travel brands tap into Twitter’s power as the best place to connect and converse with consumers and launch new products and services.”
