Celebrity Magazines: Some of US Are Struggling

We know the saying goes “As GM goes, so goes the country” but considering our celebrity saturated climate maybe it would also be fair to say that as tabloids go, so goes the magazine industry. If that’s the case than today’s report that Us Weekly is having problems meeting its commitment to advertisers (they have to sell 1.9 million copies a week via subscriptions or newsstand sales) can’t be good. Add to that the fact that Us is not alone: both In Touch and Life & Style are off their rate bases, also.

However, all is not lost in photoshopping land! People (a whopping 9% above its rate base), OK and Star are all doing fine.
