CBS Sports March Madness App Wins Sports Emmy
CBS Sports Mobile got a nod from the Annual Sports Emmy Awards earlier this week when their “CBS Sports NCAA March Madness on Demand” app for the iPhone won for “Outstanding New Approaches, Sports Event Coverage.”
Last year’s version of the app (which this year’s Emmys were recognizing) was the first app to live-stream a major sporting event. Produced in conjunction with CBSSports.com, CBS Sports, and the NCAA, it also featured an interactive tournament bracket that updated in real-time.
