CBS News Toasts to 50 Years with Bill Plante

As if there wasn’t enough going on in DC last night (the Congressional Women’s Softball Game, 826DC’s ‘How to Make it in This Town’ convo with CNN’s Jake Tapper and NYTimes‘ Mark Leibovich, and the Big Money book party for POLITICO’s Ken Vogel) CBS News hosted a party to celebrate White House Correspondent Bill Plante’s 50 year career at the network.

Friends and colleagues gathered at Jose Andres’ Oyamel to fete Plante, a known foodie and wine connoisseur. Highlight (for him): He was gifted with a rare 1964 Chateau Pichon Baron-Pauillac.

Guests included CBS News President David Rhodes, Chairman Jeff Fager and Washington Bureau Chief Chris Isham.
