Can QR Color Make a Difference?

British PR firm Sister has created a multi-colored QR code for its client Carnaby, London W1, a departure from the traditional black and white. The London ‘hood is known for shopping, dining, and cocktails, and the five colors in the QR code represent the area’s highlights.

A press release for the campaign says the new code has increased the number of hits on the Carnaby, London website by 258 percent since the May 2011 launch. That’s significant. Have you ever had that kind of success from a QR code? And do you think adding color makes a big difference? Share your thoughts in the comments section and @PRNewser.
