Cally Visits Island’s Oasis

A twofold bit of interesting in this post. First, it’s a story about the Island Records HQ getting a facelift, re-designing the whole of their offices in London. So, surely any story about the offices where Shane McGowan’s contract for “If I Should Fall From Grace With God” was probably drawn up would ordinarily be enough, but not this time. The redesign was handled by Cally, the one-named designer of some pretty big-time album covers for the label, including U2’s Passengers and Nick Drake’s Way to Blue. So the article is a little of column A, a little of column B, and everything good in between. (wow. that was a lame closing sentence)
