CallSnap responds to phone calls via selfie

If you’ve ever been too busy to pickup a call, but at the same time, can’t wait to show your friend who’s calling why you’re so busy (beach, beer, both?), CallSnap might be just the mobile messaging app you’ve been looking for.

Developed by TIP Solutions (Technology in Progress), CallSnap enables Android users to send a quick selfie to the caller rather than sending them straight to voicemail.

The app is simple to use, and a great way to brag without saying a word, as when you see a call coming in, all you do is slide the CallSnap icon open and the app automatically declines the call while at the same time launching the CallSnap camera app. Simply snap a selfie, or maybe take a picture of the scene around you, your food, or even your date, and that photo is then sent back to the caller.

If you don’t have time to shoot a new pic, you can simply choose to send one from your gallery.

CallSnap is being offered for free right now for a limited time in the Google Play store, and users who download the app will also have access to future updates, as TIP Solutions is even working on a new CallClip feature that will enable people to send video and audio in response to incoming calls.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what’s the going rate for video?
