CA Democratic Party Chairman John Burton Refuses To Use His Kindle

Some people don’t like to adopt eReaders because they prefer books or fear technology. John Burton, Chairman of the Democratic Party in California, says that his daughter gave him a Kindle for his birthday, but he won’t use it because of his frustration with Amazon. “I go to a bookstore, buy a goddam book and sit and read it,” he told John Oliver on The Daily Show.

Burton explains that he thinks that Amazon is taking advantage of California’s ballot initiative legislation, which he says is intended to protect citizens from special interests.
