Buzznet Taps Former NYT Writer to be EIC

Buzznet announced today that it has hired Jeff Leeds, former New York Times music reporter, as Editor-in-Chief. It is a newly created position and Leeds will be responsible for leading the expansion of editorial offerings on Buzznet, which will combine “the best original news, commentary, photos, and other contributions from staff writers and the site’s millions of community members.” He will also direct editorial strategy at Buzznet, and manage editors at the company’s partner sites, Stereogum, Absolute Punk, Idolator, Vampire Freaks, FOE, and The Gauntlet.
