Business Insider Expands to Poland

Axel Springer-owned site now has 10 international editions.

LukaszGrassTwitterAlthough Business Insider Nordic covers news from Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, it’s published in English. As such, it is one of two new sites launched this week by BI.

The other is a more traditional international spinoff – BI Polska – catering to Poland and published in Polish. From this week’s announcement:

BI Polska publishes in Polish and is a partnership with our sister company Ringier Axel Springer through their internet division, Grupa Ringier Axel Springer is a joint venture between Axel Springer and Ringier, a leading publisher in Poland, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. The site is headquartered in Warsaw and is edited by Lukasz Grass (pictured), a Polish TV and radio journalist.

BI Polska and BI Nordic, which is headquartered in Stockholm and published together with Bonnier AB, push the site’s international editions total to 10. Others include Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.

The editor of BI Nordic is Victor Bodelius. The site will feature a mix of original reporting and aggregation. There will also be some content crossover between the Scandinavia-focused site and Business Insider.
