Burson-Marsteller Hires Former Saxum SVP as Southwest Market Leader

News from the House that Harold (Burson) Built: The Southwest practice is growing, as former Saxum svp of client development, Teresa Henderson, is named corporate and financial practice managing director and market leader for the Southwest practice, based in Dallas.

According to the official press release, Henderson will be based in Dallas and reports to Alan Sexton, Chair of the U.S. Corporate Practice and New York Market Leader.

“Teresa is a veteran corporate communicator, bringing a dynamic mixture of experience across multiple industries and communications specialties,” said Michael Law, U.S. CEO, Burson-Marsteller. “She embodies the high caliber of talent that Burson-Marsteller offers to its clients, and will be an invaluable asset to our colleagues and clients as we continue to grow our presence in Texas and the Southwest.”

Prior to her stint with Saxum, Henderson was svp/gm of Pierpont Communications’ Dallas office, an evp with Edelman Dallas and Austin, and even had a six-year stay with Ketchum as director of the firm’s Dallas office and liaison to Central America.

Henderson replaced Matt Burns, who went back to UnitedHealthcare to serve as its vp of communications.
