Burson-Marsteller Hired to Move VeriPrime Message About Beef, E. coli

In the wake of May USDA Food Safety Inspection Service slaughterhouse guidelines and recurring E. coli scares, VeriPrime Food Safety Cooperative has hired Burson-Marsteller to get the message out about its efforts to decrease the E. coli risk in the nation’s food supply. The prevention-focused food safety cooperative’s members own cattle, land and feeding facilities.

Karen Hughes, global vice chair at Burson, and a former official in the administration of George W. Bush, said the firm is “excited to work with VeriPrime on this important program for food safety.”
