Social sharing application Buffer shifted its focus to mobile, announcing the launch of applications for the iPhone and the Web that allow users to more easily share content and post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and App.net from one place.

Buffer users can share content to those social networks from the Web or from more than 50 apps, including Reeder, Feedly, Pocket, and TweetCaster. Updates can be shared instantly or scheduled.

Users can also share images directly from articles, eliminating the need to download and re-upload them.

Buffer CEO Joel Gascoigne said the developer has been working on the new apps for six months, incorporating extensive user feedback, and he added:

Over the past year, we’ve found out about an amazing way that our users have been sharing with Buffer.
