Brits Want Free Mobile Content; Ads OK

Mobile consumers in the UK don’t want to pay for content; they’d rather accept ads and get it for free, according to research from KPMG. Some 60% of those surveyed prefer free, ad-supported content to for-pay subscription services, says an IAB.uk report on the research.

Forty percent would rather watch ads than have to pay for their mobile music access. Photo storage, social networking and e-books topped the list of services that consumers want – or expect – for free.
