Boston Herald Columnist Sticks It to the Globe
Howie Carr ridicules the "bowtied bum-kissers."
In the wake of Monday’s decision by the U.S. Olympic Committee to sever ties with Boston as a potential host of the 2024 Summer Olympics, Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr today has just one regret. It involves the city’s other major newspaper:
My only regret is that I couldn’t make it over to the Globe for the candlelight vigil last evening. How many forests perished over the last few months to print the breathless puff pieces run by the bowtied bum-kissers? (My favorite: “Can David Ortiz Save Boston 2024?”)
I guess now John Henry is going to have to find a new bigger fool to take that white elephant on Morrissey Boulevard off his hands.
