Booku Reports Great eBook Sales in its First 2 Months

The Australian eBookstore Booku reports that it has sold 1700 eBook since it launched in March.

That’s not much, you say? I disagree. Booku is a subsidary of Boomerang Books, an indie web bookstore. eBooks now make up about 10% of its sales by volume. ” In April, we quadrupled March’s revenue and we’re already on track to double that again in May,” Booku managing director Clayton Wehner said in a statement last week.

He goes on to add that Booku has already gone into the black. “We’ve actually achieved positive cash flow in just our second month,” said Wehner. “Clearly, there is an emerging market out there for ebooks.”
