Book Retailers Push eReaders As Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift

If you are looking to get your Mom an eReader this Mother’s Day, it’s not too late. Barnes & Noble sent out an email today trying to get shoppers into stores to buy a Nook for a Mother’s Day gift.

The retailer is not alone, Amazon has also been pushing the Kindle as a gift for the holiday and the Kindle Mom push is still featured on Amazon’s homepage. Despite the fact that it is Friday afternoon at 4:30 PM ET, it’s not too late to order a Kindle and still have it delivered tomorrow. The cutoff time for overnight Saturday delivery is 4:30 PT/7:30 ET.  But it will cost you $15.99 ($3.99 if you’ve got Amazon Prime).

Or you can can avoid the shipping fees and look for a Kindle at Staples, Walmart or Best Buy, which all carry the eReader in stores.
